Converting Your Driver’s License in Mallorca
Do you want to have your German driving licence converted in Mallorca? With the driving licence conversion in Mallorca, we accompany you on site at the traffic authority (DGT) and take care of the formalities. Our service costs €169 incl. IVA and includes the DGT fee. The medical test (approx. €65), on the other hand, you pay directly at the test centre, and we tell you where to get a quick appointment.
These requirements apply
For the conversion you need three things that build on each other.
Residencia
It is the valid proof of your residence in Spain. You will find information and help on our page Apply for a Residencia.
Certificado de Empadronamiento
This is the registration certificate from your municipality (Ajuntament). In Palma, you book appointments for it online at the town hall (Cita previa).
Certificado Digital
It is your digital certificate for dealing with the authorities. If you don’t have one yet, we apply for it for you, and the costs are included.

FAQ on driving licence conversion in Mallorca
Do I absolutely need a Residencia?
Yes, because the Residencia is a prerequisite for the conversion. You can read more on our page Apply for a Residencia.
Where do I take the medical test?
You take it at a certified health centre (Centro de Reconocimiento). We also give you addresses with quick appointment availability.
Do you book the appointment at the DGT?
Yes. For this we need your digital certificate. If you don’t have one, we apply for it for you, and that is included.
Does it also work without my own vehicle?
Yes, the conversion is possible with and without a vehicle.
